Holidays

Home with the family, my sanity is slowly draining away, actually.... quickly.

Gotta love the holidays.

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy Hanukah. Also I hope your winter Solstice was good and that your Kwanzaa will be meaningful and awesome. Any holidays I missed, happy that one too.

for solstice my kids got iPods (thanks grandma and grandpa!) (even though grandma doesn't want to be called that and goes by another name)...

for Christmas they'll get a few bits of junk.

it's the War on Christmas!

Here children, minestrone soup for Christmas... isn't solstice better? Time for low wattage MIND CONTROL!

Don't forget Oshagatsu! I guess that's more like new years, but still...

Seriously though, it's pretty cool that the Japanese can integrate Christian, Buddhist, and Shinto traditions into their country so well. I'm sure there is a lesson there somewhere...

Oh my god, I absolutely concur on the "home for the holidays" disaster. I swear. I think I cry maybe a couple times during the year, and then when I go home, my wonderful family pushes my buttons like you wouldn't believe. I might've lost it like a dozen times by now. *sigh* Is it just me, or is it that no one in my (and yours, and everybody's) adult life is rude/inconsiderate enough to say the things our family members bring up?

Makes you realize you really actually don't wish you were a kid again. :)

Merry Whatever! I miss you!

I've had a great holiday, but if I was sad it would be because I couldn't go home for the holidays... they were dreading me!
